Sampling for SARS-CoV-2 tests is possible ONLY with a previous phone or email appointment: tel. 0728 128 254 and email: labbiolmol@usab-tm.ro, Monday – Friday, between 9.00-16.00 (9:00 am-4:00pm)

Sampling the tests:

RT-PCR: Monday - Friday, 9:00-10:30

Test Antigen: Monday-Friday, 9:00-14:00

Price list

Note: Price can be negotiated on the basis of a collaboration agreement for institutions or groups of people.

The result of the Rapid Antigen or Rapid Antibody test is issued in about 15 minutes after sampling, and the result of the RT-PCR test is issued on the same day, usually after 3.00 PM.

The medical report (with the result) is issued in Romanian and English.

We are closed on weekends and public holidays!

The medical reports with the test results are issued on the day of sampling, in Romanian and English, with the laboratory stamp, biologist – specialist in genetics stamp and signature. The results are reported on the national Covid-19 platform, from where you can download the "green digital certificate" (QR code). These medical reports can also be sent by Email, at the request of those who wish and specify this.

Laboratory Activity: The Laboratory of Molecular Biology of the Banat’s University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine "King Michael the 1st of Romania" from Timisoara, located on Calea Aradului, No. 119, provides testing methods for SARS-CoV-2 virus, such as: RT-PCR, rapid antigen tests (COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test), as well as rapid antibodies tests (Novel Coronavirus Neutralizing Antibody Rapid Test).

The RT-PCR method performed in our laboratory is a analitical detecting proceedure for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus in the mucous membranes of the upper airways (naso-pharyngeal exudate). After the extraction of the genetic material, the RT-PCR equipment uses the technique of amplification of the RNA from the sampled genetic material, obtaining results with high sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility.
